Hi, I’m Xavier, a passionate photographer, based in the UK, I’ve been capturing moments since I picked up my first camera at around 4 or five and then got hooked when I got to use my first SLR camera at 12 (ish), Back then, digital cameras weren’t a thing yet, and being tone deaf, with no sense of rhythm, music wasn't an option and struggling to draw stick people, meant drawing was out, so, my dad’s cherished camera became my creative outlet.
My path to photography was unexpected—having worked in bars, and hospitality, IT and network support, data analytics for government, taught babies sign language, supported software companies, and even trained as a ninja (yes, really!). Photography wasn’t a planned career, but life led me here, and it feels natural to combine my camera skills with my working background and recently, I accidentally discovered my knack for branding through imagery.
Whether it’s corporate events, headshots, branding, or live music, I thrive behind the lens. My mission? To create outstanding images that capture the uniqueness of your brand. Let’s tell your story visually and make a lasting impression.

The City Spirit @ The Hotel Du Vin
Putting some WOW on walls
In collaboration with The Hotel Du Vin, Brighton, this exclusive collection of images showcasing the city as never seen before, are only available exclusively through the Hotel Du Vin.
Each image looks great on its own or in its place as part of the collection.
This is a small selection from the City Spirit, a photography project by Brighton Commercial photographer, Xavier Clarke, of XC Photography UK.
The collection was started by accident after trying a technique outlined by renowned travel photographer, Serge Reamnil, though I had indeed to create a long expose look as I loved the style but didn't want to be burdened by extra kit, especially suffering from chronic conditions The first attempt was after a meeting in London, of St. Paul's Cathedral, it took a couple of weeks to get the final image, as it is created by layering several images together and algningin g them, once the images of center were removed (one by one after completing the process) it matched perfectly and created something unexpected, with a contrast of the hustle and buste of the streets and people rushing by, against the stillness of the surrounding buildings and calm skies.
Since that first attempt, I have tried to take one everywhere I go, but due to the painstaking precision each one takes, they don't always work. Living in the Wonderful city of Brighton gives me a wealth of opportunities to create some truly unique photographs of an incredibly vibrant city.
