A little bit about me
Hi I’m Xavier, the man behind the lens at XC Photography UK Ltd. I'm not one for the spotlight and prefer to be hidden away behind the camera. I've been fascinated by photography since childhood. When I picked up my dad's Olympus camera, I started taking pictures of everything around me. But never in a million years did I think I'd end up behind the lens full-time or become a brand ambassador for OM System Cameras (formally Olympus).
My journey here hasn't been traditional, to say the least. I've done a lot of different things, from running and working bars, restaurants, and off-licences, to teaching babies sign language and I have even spent time gaining several IT diplomas. I also have a BTEC or two in Performing Arts, and in my spare time, I trained to be a ninja (true story!)
In the past 15 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of businesses around the UK, from the one-man entrepreneur to multimillion-pound corporations such as Amazon and the BBC. I've met some of my heroes in music, film, and TV. My work has been exhibited from Soho to Milan, featuring in publications like Q Magazine, The Source, and BN1 Magazine and on display in Brighton Dome. I even had a photo of the Mod Father himself, Mr. Paul Weller, in print.
It's been an incredible experience doing what I love and getting to work with so many amazing people. Whether it's Suzi (Eddie) Izzard, Sophie "ACE" Aldred, Charlie Bond, Ross Kemp or content creator Ms Marketing, Tristan THE Sandwich Guy, with everyone I've photographed I’ve loved learning the stories behind their brands, allowing me to create attention-grabbing images that tell their own unique story.
